The 'International Forum on Reservoir Simulation' is a five day meeting providing the opportunity for academic and industrial specialists to learn about leading edge reservoir simulation technology. Previously, these meetings have attracted some of the most distinguished authorities in this field, from both academia and the petroleum industry. The forums have been an ongoing success because we endeavor to develop a program that comprises important current topics that are addressed by distinguished keynote speakers.

The 9th International Forum on Reservoir Simulation will consist of eight half-day sessions. Each session will be devoted to a specific topic. The sessions will start with a review of the state-of-the-art by leading experts in the field, followed by a panel discussion. The forum will include lectures on gridding, streamline simulation, geomodeling, geostatistic, well modeling, history matching, full field modeling, decision making and practical aspects of reservoir simulation. All lectures will place emphasis on special problems of fractured reservoirs. There will be ample opportunities for questions and comments by participants.

A colorful social program is offered to allow participants and their accompanying friends and families to enjoy Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Since 1988, we have collaborated to organize eight International Forums on Reservoir Simulation in Austria and Oman. The last Forum was held in 2005, in Stresa, Italy. Great care is always taken to find a location that is conducive to both formal and informal discussions and participant satisfaction with the scientific and social organization has been very high.

The Forum is organized by the University of Leoben, Austria and the Petroleum Engineering Department at Stanford University, USA.
 

The chairmen are Zoltán Heinemann from the University of Leoben and Khalid Aziz from Stanford University.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to the "International Forum" at the aforementioned address. The registration fee includes a nonrefundable service fee of EUR 200. No refund will be given for cancellations received after September 15th, 2007. An alternative conference delegate can be nominated at any time.
